Fan review of the LATE LATE SHOW recording
I had a chance to speak with Vivian Campbell in the green room of "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" Friday at CBS Television City in Los Angeles prior to Def Leppard's first national television appearance in support of the forthcoming "Yeah!" The band taped a two-song set later in the afternoon for broadcast at a future date. When asked about the set length for both Journey and Def Leppard, Vivian clarified that each band will perform 80 minutes each, not 90 as has been previously reported. I also asked if he and his band mates still intended to play five songs from "Yeah!" He said "Hellraiser" would open each set and that they also will perform "Hanging On The Telephone" and (from the last tour) "Rock On" and "No Matter What."Since they have rehearsed the song, Vivian said that he hoped they will be able to squeeze in "20th Century Boy," but "does not see how they will have time." He also said that "Joe (Elliott) will not be doing a lot of talking. We are going to play as many songs as we can." Campbell also stated that the band will not be performing "Foolin'" or anything from either "Slang" or "X."

HELL YEAH! they are gonna OPEN with Hellraiser! Hanging On The Telephone? WOOHOO! Those are two of my favorites!! I HOPE they do 20th Century Boy. I'm looking forward to Rock On. I'm not really looking forward to No Matter What though. I'm pretty happy they won't be doin Foolin'. I was wondering what "hits" they'd drop from the setlist. I'm a little pissed that they aren't gonna do anything off of Slang or X though. but, oh well. Joe WON'T be doing a lot of talking?? this I GOTTA see! LOL! As many songs as they can huh? hmmmmm should be fun! maybe we'll get more than the standard 22 or so?
