Long time no speak!

I know I haven’t posted in a while, I’ve just taken a break from the internet for the most part since my last post. Obviously the last two posts I put up were “nothing” posts and really just filler posts for the hell of posting. Although if you read it, the Dale Junior, Brad Arnold post I did have a reason to post. I guess you’ll just have to read it to know what I’m talking about if you haven’t read it already. :-)

So, let’s talk about Mom shall we? sure! Last Monday and Tuesday she was able to stand by herself with no one holding her or anything like that. She was with her therapist using the parallel bars and Mom said to her, “I’ve got this feeling” So, she sat back down, and the only “help” she used was to push up on her hand rests to stand up (like any normal person would use) and stood. She did the same Tuesday and my Sister witnessed it. So, I know this is true.

Also found out that Mom FINALLY got a new bed either that Monday or Tuesday as well. You see, Since she’s been there (late October) she’s been moaning about a lump in the mattress but, no one would apparently do anything about it. Mom even had my Dad put his hand between the mattress to make sure she wasn’t just dreaming it or whatever. He confirmed the lump. So yeah, Since October to now, she’s had a bad bed. Cool thing about this one is, it’s electric!

This past Saturday I went out shopping with my sister and her boyfriend which was my idea just for something to do. So, I got 6 shirts and 3 pairs of pants for about $60.00 I didn’t think that was all that bad. I also went and bought the new 3 Doors Down CD that came out the 8th. From there, I went and saw Mom for a few hours and just hung out. (Not a whole hell of a lot you can do in a nursing home ya know?!)

I also got to witness how she now feeds herself. The way she does it is, she puts her thumb, pointer, middle, and ring finger over the fork/spoon, and puts her pinky under it. Looks weird, yes but, if that’s how she can do it, good for her.

Saturday or Sunday night (I can’t remember which now) while my sister was coming home from her boyfriends, an animal was in the road which they almost, but didn’t hit. they weren’t sure what it was at first She thought it was a coyote or something like that. On further look, she found it to be a dog. A red Husky to be exact. So, She called the local Sheriff to see if they knew anything about it, they didn’t. She called my Dad to see what she should do and he said to bring it home. Not like she would of left it anyway because it’s been quite cold and snowy/rainy here lately. It also had a hurt paw which lead us to believe that it wasn’t “dumped.” That wasn't so though. It lasted here until Monday afternoon when her boyfriend took it to the kennel where we found out that THEY had picked it up recently off the road and they were the ones that took it to a vet and had it's paw stitched up.

Either this weekend or next, I plan on getting a haircut and my state ID (finally) I’m going to be 21 in a month so, I think it’s about time I get that.
