Our Bird
We have a Blue and Gold MaCaw. Incase you don't know what one is, it's a big bird, loud, expensive, VERY picky eaters, and can live for a very long time. (as in, it will probably out live us.) For about 3 weeks now, she picks her days where she will do nothing but scream. At first, I just thought it was because she was low on food and the stuff that she had left, I knew she wouldn't eat but, I gave it to her anyway. So, I told my sister that day, the bird needs food tonight when you get home from work. Of course, she forgot it. So, the next day, I had to pretty much sit in the living room with the bird and "babysit" her so she would keep at least semi quiet. Today is her day to do her screaming thing again. she started about an hour ago so, at least it won't last for long because as soon as it gets dark outside, she'll shut up. She has food btw but, she's just screaming away. I think after the 2nd week I figured out why she is doing this. I could be way off but, I'm not the only one that thinks this. I think the first week she did it is when she finally realized that Mom wasn't around anymore. I know it might sound stupid for her to not of noticed until now but, That's what we think. Unfortunately, since the bird is so big, it's impossible for us to take her up to see Mom. Man I hope Mom is out of the nursing home SOON!
