Excited for...
...NOTHING First, I have to thank Steph for telling me about Bret Michaels doing a solo tour This one was my first one since July 9th. (3 Doors Down and Nickelback) We didn't have tickets, we were just going to buy them at the door. It was just at a local club so, no big deal, Right? Well, we get down there and my sister bumped into someone she knew and then we get the news. He PPD the show! because he "lost his voice" that's what a band playing said anyway. What was said on Bret's site?
Due to unforseen circumstances tonight's show at Peabody' in Cleveland has been rescheduled for December 7 as an end of tour bash. Due to the amount of presold tickets Bret will be returning to Peabody's in December for an end of tour party. Tickets for tonights show will be honored in December. We apologize for any inconvienience this may have caused.
Now, I know by talking to Steph that he WAS having voice problems in Cedar Rapids last week so, I guess I'll buy that excuse for tonight. Want to know what the real bitch of this whole thing is? my sister had to fight to ge tonight off of work, she got it, but, I didn't know that she'd even be able to get tonight off until this past Saturday. Will I be going to the rescheduled show? No. Why? because of the same reason I almost didn't go tonight. My sister will have to fight to get the night off. Plus, it's on a Tuesday Night. Had it been on a Friday night that she had off, (she has about every other Friday off) it probably wouldn't of been a big deal and we might of went. So, what did we do for about two hours? went to a pizza shop and watched 1 and a half songs of a really bad band at the club that Bret was supposed to play at. "The Doctor Tooth" Was the name of the band. Bad name isn't it? I thought so!
Ok. I guess I'm done ranting. Sorry I haven't posted in a while but, I was hoping I'd write up a good review of a good show tonight. Oh well.
